Guadalajara International Airport
New Terminal T2
The New Terminal T2 at Guadalajara International Airport responds to the growing passenger demand.
Project detail
An ambitious expansion plan for Guadalajara Airport has been approved, including the construction of a new Terminal T2, extending the runways, and improving its cargo infrastructure. This project is designed to double the airport’s current capacity, aiming to exceed 20 million passengers per year in the next decade between Terminals.
The design for the new Terminal is based on the client’s need to optimize the investment without compromising the building’s functional capacity and growth. It features a classic three-level structure with international arrivals on the upper floor and combines contact boarding (7 gates) with remote boarding (12 gates). Its architecture aims to establish a harmonious dialogue of timeless forms and raw tones with the new auxiliary buildings and the ongoing remodeling of the existing Terminal T1.
