The intervention consists of the reconstruction of the emblematic Formentor Hotel in Bay of Pollença, to the east of Mallorca, with the objective to create a Grand Luxury 5-Star Hotel with a capacity for 110 rooms (112 keys).
Project detail
The famous Mallorcan establishment, a meeting place for princes, actors, statesmen, and writers of the 20th and 21st centuries, will maintain its hallmark: “a white line in the landscape”, and will be reconverted in one of the best Mediterranean hotels.
The project will recover the order and layout of the original façade and will adapt to the new space distribution.
The hotel will include two restaurants, several bars and cafés, an events space with a banquet hall and meeting rooms, a spa and gym, as well as areas for services and facilities.
The procedure will extend to the outdoor areas that surround the building to recover the native landscape and to integrate the remodeling and improvement of gardens, terraces, swimming pools, sports courts, recreation pavilions, road access and parking lots at a landscape level.
As a whole, the action on the building and the existing plot is respectful of the original architecture and Cabo de Formentor’s exceptional landscape and is based on environmental criteria, seeking to obtain the Leed sustainability certification.
