First prize in the tender put out by AENA. The project included the redevelopment of the current Terminal building and a sizeable enlargement thereof. The idea was to improve its function through three operations: Firstly, the expansion of the ground side, using a structure which gave the building a new image and housed the new check-in hall with 36 new counters and a new departures dock. Secondly, the extension to the north for the creation of a new boarding pier, which achieved a total of 15 contact positions, two of them which were double. And, finally, the growth of the building towards the south to segregate the flow of passengers between international flights and domestic flights.
